Future opportunities
Biology is considered one of the most diverse and versatile courses. It contains a breadth of knowledge and can open many university pathways. This includes science related careers in fields such as medicine or genetics, or roles as an allied health professional or biomedical scientist. However, Biology can also open doors to other careers because of the transferrable skills you learn. You’ll be able to interpret data, apply mathematical concepts such as standard deviation and improve your ability to link different concepts together.
Who will be teaching the course?
My name is Ms Kaur and I’m the Head of Science. I have real-life experience of applying the knowledge learnt in my A-level biology as I worked as a dietitian within the NHS. I use this experience along with evidenced based practices to help students develop an understanding and passion for Biology.
