We have both a physical and online library so that students can access fiction and non-fiction, anywhere and at any time.
We are particularly proud of ePlatform, our online library as students can access these online resources from their Chromebooks during form time, free time or English lessons as well as from home. There are thousands of titles at their fingertips and we take time to gather reading lists suited to age and ability so that students feel supported in choosing the right books for them.
Our library monitors have been busy providing a click and collect service during this current period of time as students cannot browse the library as they normally would. Students deliver books to students during form time and help us to keep the library in good condition.
We have a widely stocked library with books covering a comprehensive range of subjects to support students’ learning and provide information on their many interests as well as a generous number of fiction books to stimulate their imaginations, spark their empathy for other lives, to excite, to sadden and to give them optimism.
Reading Challenges at Katherine Warington School
At Katherine Warington, we encourage all students, teachers and parents to keep reading. One of the ways we do this is through our reading challenges. Our English department and Library staff work together to promote the challenges and provide recognitions and prizes along the way.
