Trustee Vacancies
Katherine Warington School is currently looking for two new trustees, ideally one of which would have a background in the human resources industry. A trustee is a voluntary role similar to that of a school governor and, to ensure a balanced board, we are looking for new trustees who are not currently parents of students at the school.
As a trustee you will be an integral part of the trust board, whose main functions are to:
- Ensure clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
- Hold executive leaders to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the effective and efficient performance management of staff; and
- Oversee the financial performance of the organisation and make sure its money is well spent.
The role is strategic rather than operational. Trustees don’t get involved with the day to day running of the school, instead supporting and challenging the school’s leadership team to drive school improvement.
