Trips & Visits
At Katherine Warington School we offer our students the opportunity to take part in a wide range of visits, field trips and excursions which support national curriculum studies and extra-curricular activities. Trips and visits include short day trips to places of interest as well as multi-day residential trips within the UK, Europe or even further afield.
KWS Trips
At KWS, we strive to provide a broad and rich curriculum.
In the 2022-2023 academic year we have run successful trips to Thorpe Park for Year 7 & 10, Whitby for Year 8 and Stanborough Lakes for Year 9 students as part of our Activities Week. We have also run a series of Performing Arts Theatre trips with over a third of the school attending a Theatre Show and workshop with top west end professionals including a Performing Arts residential for Year 9 & 10 performing arts students. In 2022-23 shows have included “Wicked”, “Frozen”, “Lion King” and “Mrs Doubtfire”, we have previously working alongside actors such as Gabriel Mokake (Hamiton), Elle Vincent (Dreamgirls, Hamilton), Lucyelle Cliffe (Wicked), Johnny Duds (Cinderella, Book of Mormon) and Vaneeka Dhadria (Cyrano de Bergerac, West End & Broadway).
We also ran our first Ski Trip to Alpe D’Huez with over 80 students from Years 8,9 and 10.
As our school grows and our students approach Key Stage 5, we have ambitious plans for trips further afield, with the likes of a combined Business & Arts trip to New York, camps international expeditions and even a trip to China for our mandarin students.
