As the house system grows, we want to provide students with further opportunities to get involved behind the scenes with our House development.

This term we have introduced a new strand within our Student Leadership and our current Year 9 and some Year 8 students were able to apply for the new role of House Captain.

The aim of this role is to provide each house with two House Captains, who will support the Head of House Development with creating and leading inter-house and charity competitions throughout the year. All the way from coming up with the ideas to promoting them throughout the school and participating. They will communicate with the younger forms in their houses to create teams and promote house identity and values throughout the school striving to constantly raise participation, through leading and encouraging their house members.

After receiving a number of applications and reading some amazing speeches, our KWS staff were able to vote for two candidates from each house.

I would like to say a huge well done to all students who applied for the role and to also congratulate our successful House captains.
