The KWS Enrichment Fund
At Katherine Warington School, we are committed to ensuring that every student has access to a rich and diverse educational experience. The KWS Enrichment Fund has been established to enhance our extracurricular offering and ensure equity of opportunity for all students. By modernising our donation infrastructure, we aim to ensure the long-term sustainability of our unique enrichment programmes.
What is the Enrichment Fund?
The Enrichment Fund is a ring-fenced resource used specifically to provide high-quality opportunities and equipment that the core school budget cannot cover. Unlike general school accounts, these funds are dedicated to three key areas:
- The Opportunity Fund (Trips & Visits): We believe financial hardship should never prevent a child from attending an educational visit. This fund subsidises costs for students on Free School Meals (FSM) or families facing temporary hardship. For example, £250 can support a student to attend the Year 7 residential trip or £60 would support a student to attend the Y8 London Cultural Day including a Theatre Show.
- Transport to Fixtures & Events: To keep sports and local visits accessible, donations help lower “per head” transport costs for matches and tournaments. This also supports in-school events, such as visiting theatre productions e.g A Christmas Carol.
- Period 7 & Extra-Curricular: These funds support our unique extended school day by bringing in external experts, industry speakers, and purchasing specialist equipment for STEM or sports clubs.
How to Donate
We use CAF Donate, a secure and professional digital fundraising platform, to process all contributions. Parents can choose a donation method that suits them:
- Monthly Regular Giving: Many parents choose to donate £5, £10, or £20 per month to provide consistent support.
- One-off Donations: You can make a single contribution at any time or in response to specific school events.
- Gift Aid: If you are a UK taxpayer, please opt-in for Gift Aid. This allows us to claim an extra 25% on top of your donation from HMRC at no extra cost to you.

The Enrichment Fund is here to help our community. Families facing financial barriers to participation are encouraged to apply for support from the Opportunity Fund.
