Congratulations to Becky Dowse in Year 13, who was awarded the Bill Hewetson Memorial Prize and the Rotary Young Citizens’ Award 2026 at the prestigious Rotary Club annual awards ceremony earlier this week.

Becky was a very deserving winner in recognition of her outstanding leadership of the Interact Group. As President, she has helped the group raise over £1,000 for charity. Beyond this, the Rotary Club also recognised Becky’s wider contribution to both KWS and the local community.

She has been an exceptional Head Student and ambassador for KWS, always willing to support others and give up her time to help. Becky has consistently led by example, been a fantastic role model, and is a truly deserving recipient of this award.
