Period 7: Enabling the Leaders of Tomorrow
This term, we have many Period 7 sessions running which are driven by the vision and leadership of our students themselves. From global diplomacy to high-level engineering, students are no longer just participants: they are the architects of their own enrichment.
The diversity of the sessions is a testament to student ambition. Model United Nations has seen such a surge in popularity that it now convenes twice weekly, while an Engineering program is successfully navigating its second block of hands-on innovation. Meanwhile, in the Mathematics department, a select group of Year 9 students are tackling high-level challenges in pursuit of the prestigious Algebra Award.
The initiative isn’t limited to traditional academics. Responding to a request from the Prom Committee, we have launched a dedicated creative session for Year 11s to design bespoke accessories and decorations for their June celebration. This oversubscribed Thursday session has become a hub of creativity, proving that when students take the lead, engagement follows.
