U15 District Cup Cricket Champions! Whilst chasing St Albans’ 147, Finlay R and Issa Z steadied the ship with two superb big innings after the loss of a few early wickets. Finlay played a number of big shots for a score of 77, meanwhile Issa complemented him nicely with a steady 28 not out. Well done lads on a very impressive performance and season.

Sports Leaders

It was fantastic to host a Primary Sports Festival for 3 local primary schools this week. Our sports leaders did a great job of motivating the visiting Year 6 students and engaging them in activities that they had created themselves. Hopefully some valuable leadership skills acquired. Well done to all involved.

Athletics

A great afternoon for our U14 and U16 girls’ athletics teams at the county plate final on Monday. The competition was tough, but the girls showed their talent in their individual events. Stand out performances from Sophia J with a 1st in the long jump with a jump of 4.60m. She also came 3rd in the 200m. Heather G jumped 1.34m in the high jump, Ethel M came 3rd in the 100m, meanwhile Ella P came 1st in the 1500m. Brilliant effort from all!
