Summer Reading in the Library
And here we are, in the final few weeks of the academic year! Once again, it’s gone in the blink of an eye, and the long summer holiday is stretching ahead of us. The six week holiday is the perfect time for reading, so do pop in and pick up a couple of books for the break. And don’t forget, you can use the ePlatform over the holiday too; and yes, audiobooks count as reading, so give an audiobook a try! You can also join Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire Libraries and borrow books from them too, and you can use their Borrow Box app for online reading and audiobooks; it’s all free and there really is so much choice. And don’t forget, this summer Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire Libraries are running their Move to the Beat Summer Reading Challenge, where you can earn rewards, stickers and badges. You can access this in any library, or online. And if you complete the challenge and bring your certificate into the school library in September, you’ll get 5 recognition points. A great way to get your recognition count underway in the ’26-’27 year!
