Science Update
The Science department welcomed thirty Year 5 students from Sauncey Wood Primary school and their teacher, Ms Gardener, to KWS on Tuesday afternoon for a couple of Science taster sessions.
The students were shown how sound waves can be ‘seen’ in flames with our Rubens tube: we played some excellent Ed Sheeran songs and saw the flames dancing in time to the music!
They also made chromatograms to show how mixtures of ink can be separated when some colours of ink in the mixture are more soluble than others.
The students showed fantastic enthusiasm and were all extremely engaged and well behaved. We had a great time showing off our brilliant labs to them and will look forward to seeing lots of them at Open Day in September!
