PE Update
There has been lots going on in PE over the last few weeks:
Year 7s did themselves proud at sports hall athletics, gaining valuable experience ready for the athletics season starting in the summer term.
The boys Year 7 / 8 basketball squad claimed their first win of the season with a promising 25-7 win in their second league fixture this week.
Last Friday our u13 girls cricket squad had a day out of school competing in a county competition. The girls performed admirably, finishing third overall.
Our Year 8 and 9 netballers did well in their fixtures against Onslow, with the Year 8s in particular putting in an excellent performance. Players of the match went to Ali in Year 8 and Belle in Year 9.
This was followed by the Year 8 and 9 girls having another taste of rugby against Roundwood. Isobel J was the stand out player for KWS, with some dynamic running with the ball.
Last week, Year 10 boys football team won 4-1, booking their place in the quarter finals of the district cup with another very good performance. Jordan C scored a hat trick, meanwhile Jack D and Fin B had particularly influential roles in the game. Unfortunately our Year 9s toiled in a tough fixture against Verulam, bowing out of the competition.
Last weekend marked our first set of Saturday football fixtures against Simon Balle. Years 7 & 10 recorded excellent wins with Eddie J in Year 7 scoring a well taken hat trick and Dylan P scoring a brace for Year 10. We welcome SJL on Saturday for another round of fixtures.
