Library Reading Ambassadors
Our newly appointed Reading Ambassadors have been very busy this term. They have met regularly and enjoyed looking at the results of the recent student survey regarding reading in school, and some have been brave enough to deliver the feedback in front of the whole school in assemblies. Some of the Reading Ambassadors have also designed posters to promote reading. These can now be seen on the school golf buggy as it zips around the site. Their final assignment of the year was to was to give out nearly 200 copies of King of Nothing, by Nathanael Lessore, to all of the incoming year 7 students when they visited KWS on transition day. There will be lots more opportunities for them in the next academic year.
In our last newsletter article of the year we’d like to encourage everyone to find time over the summer to read a good book. There are plenty of books and audiobooks available on the ePlatform if you haven’t had a chance to pick up a physical book. And don’t forget the Summer Reading Challenge at the local library. Whatever the weather, there’s always a place for reading. We’d like to wish everyone a wonderful summer!
