Basketball
Well done to our undefeated Year 9 basketball team beating Marlborough, RPS and Beaumont in the past couple of weeks.
Football
A shout out to the year 9 boys’ football team who twice came from behind to take St Joan of Arc to penalties in the County Cup on Tuesday evening. A last minute strike from Josh R was a highlight, taking the game to penalties. Despite Luke W saving 2 penalties, they ultimately went out 2-1 in the shootout. A big away day against Aylesbury in the National Cup to come in November!
Well done to the U14 girls’ football team for beating St Clement Danes 4-0 in the County Cup.
Also, a massive well done to the Year 10 boys’ football team on a 3-2 win in the County Cup away at Haileybury Turnford. After going 2-0 down early on, the boys regained control and fought back admirably. As always, every squad member played their part brilliantly.
The sixth form team also had an excellent win, beating Nicholas Breakspear 4-1 on Wednesday. Josh H deserves a special mention for stepping in to play central defence at the last minute and was an absolute rock! Well done to all involved.
Rugby
A fantastic performance from the Year 8 rugby team against Sandringham last Saturday. Having trailed in the game for large periods, they put in a hearty display scoring 2 late tries to secure a 5-5 draw. A joy to watch, well done!
There is no rugby training this weekend due to the half term break.
