Professional athletes use video to analyse their performance as a normal way of working. Their coach discusses the video with them, developing action points for how to maximise performance. Like many schools across Hertfordshire, we apply this thinking to the classroom. Your child’s teacher may be filmed as part of our ongoing commitment to improving the quality of education your child receives. We use video to help teachers reflect on their practice and improve. The video is watched by the classroom teacher and their instructional coach, and is then deleted. The focus of the video is the teacher’s pedagogies. Educational research tells us that this is one of the most effective forms of teacher CPD, and we’re proud that we can offer this CPD to our teachers.
