Disability History Month
December saw assemblies being delivered by a group of Year 7s and 8s, raising awareness about Disability History Month. Macy R, Sasha H, Emaan S and Yasemin F delivered assemblies to all year groups, talking about how barriers to equity stem from 3 areas: attitudes of people, physical environmental factors and organisational barriers, such as policies and laws. Well done to our speakers for delivering a very important topic to ensure our school understands that there are many people in all our communities who may have visibly obvious or hidden disabilities, and that we must ensure we eradicate stigmas and barriers.
