What a night! On Wednesday 17th June our Year 11 students traded their school uniforms for stunning outfits and elegant masks for the highly anticipated Year 11 Masquerade Prom.  

It was a spectacular celebration and the perfect way to mark the end of an incredible school year for this year group, who have worked so hard to prepare for their exams. 

The venue looked absolutely breath taking, perfectly setting the mood for the night thanks to months of work by our Prom Committee – who spent Period 7 in the Spring term making decorations and masks from scratch.  Such a creative and hardworking bunch of students! 

From the moment they arrived, our students were in high spirits all evening.  They truly danced the night away, keeping the dance floor packed from the very first song to the final track. When they weren’t showing off their best moves, many students also enjoyed the football screening, ensuring that sports fans and dancers alike had the absolute best time.

An event of this scale doesn’t just happen by magic. We would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who made the night so special:

• The Prom Committee: Thank you for your tireless work in organising the event and choosing such a fantastic theme. The incredible masks and stunning decorations truly brought the masquerade theme to life!
• Our Amazing Staff Setup Team: A huge shout-out to the dedicated staff who worked behind the scenes to set up the marquee and everything in it (and take it all back down)
• The Welcoming Committee: Thank you to the many staff members who lined up to warmly welcome our students as they arrived, making them feel like true celebrities walking the red carpet.

It was an unforgettable evening filled with laughter, style, and celebration. We are incredibly proud of our Year 11s and wish them the absolute best of luck in all that follows, we can’t wait to welcome so many of them back into our 6th Form for their next learning chapter.
