Maths Challenge Success
Last Thursday, four Year 8 students (Mirabelle B, Ben K, Corin N and Lewis NB) travelled to Stevenage to take part in the Herts for Learning Maths Challenge Final. Here, they competed against several other schools to complete difficult maths problems, with the competition including both estimation and memory rounds. The questions were extremely tough, but the students enjoyed the experience and Mirabelle commented that she “had a fun time challenging [her] capabilities”.
We are delighted to announce that they finished the day in a fantastic second place, and only one point behind the eventual winners. This is an incredible achievement, not least because over 80 schools across the County participated in this event. Congratulations to the team!
