We have had a busy time as usual in the library! In the week before half term, we held a lunchtime listening party based on Jeffrey Boakye’s book Musical Truth: A Musical Journey through Modern Black Britain. From songs sung as people landed in England on HMT Empire Windrush, through the R&B inspired pop of the 1960s and ending with Stormzy, it was wonderful to learn about and celebrate the musical history of black Britain with the 40 students who joined us.

We have also just published our half termly Book-ish magazine. This magazine is prepared by students at one of our lunchtime clubs and is a wonderful celebration of all things KWS library! You can find it here
