Below is a broad timeline to reflect key stages of activity towards Katherine Warington School opening in September 2019. The timeline is a draft plan and is open to change.
Planning application submitted Sept 2017
Planning decision passed unanimously early 2018
Subject to Judicial Review 10th/11th July 2018. If it is a favourable outcome, upholding the planning process then it is –
Anticipated work starts on site in August 2018
School opens September 2019
12/12/16: EFA complete tender documentation.
13/12/16: Bidders Day (Held at RPS). Up to 9 construction companies from the EFA framework are invited and the brief and tender requirements, site aspect and design outline are explained.
09.01.2017: The EFA issue a preliminary invite to tender to up to 9 construction companies.
17.01.2017: EFA approve approx. 2 outline tender submissions to take through to full tender.
03.04.2017: Review tender, decide and appoint a construction company.
Spring 2017: Once the contractor is selected then they and the EFA develop designs and plans for the site. This will lead to a public consultation, offering residents the chance to view and comment on the proposals as they progress. This will be held before a planning application is submitted, offering the chance to see the emerging project.
Autumn 2017: Once plans have been prepared and consulted on, a planning application will be submitted, which will then be assessed and decided upon by elected councillors.
Spring 2018: With a successful planning application, construction to begin on site, including temporary accommodation as necessary.
