Student Responsibility and Opportunitues
There are lots of opportunities for students at KWS whether that be being part of: the student leadership team as Head or Deputy Head Boy or Girl, Student Council, Anti Bullying Ambassadors, Eco Team, student panel or being a Form Rep.
Student Council
The Student Council is a voice for our peers that helps students discuss with staff many different things that we as students feel can benefit us through our time at KWS. Each member of the Student Council was elected by their form (2 students from each form). The Student Council meets at least twice a term to discuss a variety of things: social events, suggesting ideas for Period 7 and lunchtime clubs, fundraising opportunities, promotion of learning and student wellbeing.
Anti-Bullying Ambassador
Here at KWS we aim to be a bully-free school and that is through the work and presence of our Anti-Bullying Ambassadors.
Our ambassadors promote kindness and positivity around our school. As an Anti-Bullying Ambassador you attend meetings to discuss how to ensure that every student at KWS feels happy, safe and free within themselves.
All of us at KWS know that the ambassadors are there to talk to and to offer support if and whenever needed.
We are proud to be an Anti-Bullying and “Bully Free” School.
Student Leadership Team at KWS
The Student Leadership Team consists of Head Boy and Girl and Deputy Head Boy and Girl.
The role of a student leadership team is to work in collaboration with staff to ensure we maintain a positive school and are role models for every student at KWS. As part of the student leadership team we discuss and share our ideas on how we can make KWS the best school it can be.
Being part of the Student Leadership team has helped us improve leadership and teamwork skills. It is a great honour being part of the team as we are helping to build the KWS community and we are given some brilliant opportunities such as public speaking (Assemblies, opening evenings, events) and showing guests around our fantastic school!
