New Parents
New Parents/Carers Joining in September 2019
A very warm welcome. We look forward to meeting you in person on Thursday, June 27th2019 at our new parents evening and at a further event in early October.
We will be sending out two starter communications asking you to complete various forms, such as signing up to our MIS system Arbor with medical details for your child (in May) and information regarding your most likely mode of transport to the school (in June). Please read and respond to these. If you have not received any direct emails from the school but intend to join in September 2019, please contact us directly info@kwschool.co.uk
Our approach to the curriculum, behaviour and everything else is contained on the website. If there is something that you cannot find an answer to then please contact us info@kwschool.co.uk and we will endeavour to respond promptly. Not everything on the website is complete to date (June 2019) so please bear with us and make use of contacting us directly if information isn’t clearly available.
Several parents have already expressed an interest in helping the school, either as governors, forming a parents fundraising association or offering their skills and expertise to benefit our students. We intend to make full use of these offers in the coming months. We will formally advertise the vacancy for two parent governors in October but before then we hope to establish a parent council so you have a voice in how the school grows and develops as we go forward together. One of the benefits of joining a new school is that your voice will be heard clearly and not lost in the volume of a 1000 other voices. Please be as active as your time allows in helping our school and students reach and exceed our goals.
We are a new part of an existing community. We hope that through our energy, actions and behaviour, we become a strong and supportive part of communal life in our local area. As such we are all ambassadors for the school and demonstrating our values should be a driving goal in any interactions with the school community and in the local community.
