What is the exam board and specification?
The King’s Trust – Achieve Programme: Personal Development and Employability (SPDE) at SCQF levels 3, 4, or 5.
The King’s Trust is recognised by Ofqual in England to offer and award qualifications.
What will you study?

Modules are studied as a group, with each cohort’s pathway tailored to the needs and interests of the students involved.
Pupils work in a fluid way, with an emphasis on alternative recording methods if needed.
Previous groups have gone on field trips such as Pets at Home for the ‘Managing money’ module, and Tesco for the ‘Preparing for the world of work’ module.
How will you be assessed?
Each module is assessed using a portfolio of work that shows how they have met the learning criterias. These portfolios can contain written work, presentations, videos, voice recordings, photos and witness statements from staff explaining the learning they have seen.
What qualities do I need to be successful in the subject?
The drive to succeed. The ability to work in a group at times. An interest in life skills for adulthood. The ability to work independently at times.
What future opportunities can I have with this subject?
This course gives you the life skills to succeed in your chosen career path. There are lots of transferable skills that will help you in the workplace and further education. For those looking towards university, the course awards UCAS points.
